There are so many possibilities when finishing a needlepoint pillow. So, take your time, look around, and explore the options which can all be combined to create your truly unique decorative pillow.
Knife edge decorative pillows - Your needlework goes all the way to the edge on all sides so this treatment works great when there is a lot of background area. Note: please make sure to stitch at least two extra rows of continental all the way around. There will be some distortion to the image as it will puff out when stuffed.
Self Welt - Your canvas is truly the star. This is our most popular edge treatment. A trim is custom created using the same fabric as the backing. This creates a crisp professional finish that keeps the eye focused on your needlepoint design.
Twist Cord provides a traditional finish to the edges of your canvas. We are happy to incorporate any special cords you have as long as they have a lip.
Fringe adds a decorative finish which complements your canvas and coordinates with other elements in the room. We are happy to incorporate any special fringe you may have.
One of our most popular methods of needlepoint pillow finishing. Insets are a fabric frame around your canvas. It is a great way to showcase a smaller canvas and turn it into a more substantial piece. Since there is more surface area there less distortion from stuffing.
Inset canvas with self welt. Extends the surface area of the pillow creating less distortion of your image while providing a crisp modern edge which allows the focus to remain on your needlework.
Turn your finished needlepoint into the pillow of your dreams. Each pillow is custom made just for you, so the possibilities are limited only to your imagination. We are happy to brain storm with you. Want to add pom poms? Tassels? Lace from Grandma's shawl? Part of your wedding veil? Almost anything is possible...
